Jeevi Pillai

Dance, Psychology and Travel, are three of my passions! I am Jeevi and I have been a dance fitness instructor for almost 8 years.

I have been involved in the dance fitness world as a freelancer, bringing dance fitness (Zumba and Bollywood) classes to various communities and corporations all over the country, a programming director of Dance Embassy, where I have organised various dance events in Singapore and a performer who has been involved in dance festivals including ‘The Holi Festival’ and ‘Dans festival’ held at the Esplanade.

I cannot remember a day where dance was not a part of my life in some shape or form. Before becoming an instructor, I took all kinds of dance classes from Chinese dance, Ballet, Indian Classical and modern dance to Reggaeton and Hip Hop. Dance was a way for me to connect with people, get out of my comfort zone and push my boundaries.

This is why I decided to dive deeper into African Dance with “Afrowithjeevi” just recently, and bring a different kind of flavour to the dance fitness world in Singapore with the tagline “Dance. Connect. Push Boundaries.”

Apart from dance, I am currently training to be an accredited Sport and Exercise Psychologist, working with athletes from various sports to enhance their performance and well-being.
